2026 Figural/Portraits Competition

Art and Color 365, a bi-monthly print and digital art magazine, announces its 2026 Figural/Portraits Competition. Artwork by the winners and award recipients in the competition will be featured in our
Summer Issue, publishing in July/August 2026.

Figural/Portraits Theme: Entries may be created in any two-dimensional medium, i.e. oil, watercolor, acrylic, graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, graphite, charcoal, pastel, ink, gouache, college, scratchboard, mixed media, etc. No photography. No AI.

Entry Fee and Rules:

EARLY ENTRY FEE & DEADLINE: $27.20 USD entry fee for up to 3 pieces of art
Sunday, May 3, 2026, 11:59 p.m., applicant’s local time. 

FINAL ENTRY FEE & DEADLINE: $32 USD entry fee for up to 3 pieces of art
Sunday, June 7, 2026, 11:59 p.m., applicant’s local time. 

Unlimited entries allowed.
Artists must be 18 years of age or older. Open to artists worldwide.

Prizes:
The top three winners will receive feature stories in our magazine showcasing several pieces of their artwork; featured in Art and Color 365’s Instagram and Facebook social media; a digital award certificate; inclusion in our magazine exhibition and online exhibition (for a full year); and a free 6-issue digital subscription to Art and Color 365 magazine beginning with the issue in which their feature story appears.

Special Merit winners will receive individual showcases on our social media sites in addition to the items below.

All award recipients for Special Merit, Artistic Recognition and Honorable Mention will be:

• Featured in our 2026 Summer Issue, digital and print editions
• Included in our online exhibition for a full year
• Featured in Art and Color 365’s Instagram and Facebook accounts
• Sent a digital award certificate
• Receive a free digital issue of Art and Color 365 magazine in which their art appears.

Rules

Artists must be 18 years of age or older. Open to artists worldwide. Unlimited entries allowed. Artists can win up to two awards per competition. Click here for official rules.
